History

A reputation set in stone

Warmsworth Stone was established in 1996 by John Frith and very soon gained an enviable reputation as a natural stone
fireplace manufacturer.

In 1998, having outgrown our original premises and stone supplies at Warmsworth Quarry, we moved our showroom to Sheffield Road and manufacturing was moved to Adwick le Street, and began taking its stone
from Hampole Quarry as it has done ever since.

In 2000 Simon Frith became Managing Director and took over the running of the company from his father. Simon's ambitions were as great as his father's and within two years he bought an established masonry company to enhance the company's offering.

Alongside the successful fireplace business, this
organic expansion gave Warmsworth Stone the ability to produce and sell architectural masonry products, natural
stone walling and flooring products, which were followed a little later by granite worktops.
